Caramell-what? Most people probably have no idea what I am talking about but to anime fans (myself not being one, just friends of many), this is fairly familiar. It actually started as a song by the Swedish group “Caramell” in 2001 but a few years later became an internet meme. Then it made its way into Japan which is how anime knows of it.

The best part and main reason for the love of this song is the dance that comes with it. It is composed of putting your hands on your head like cat ears and moving both head and hands side to side while you’re fingers wave up and down.

I usually partake in this activity on Halloween, anime conventions or just out of boredom. Most people would see this as weird but it can be pretty entertaining… and tiresome. Basically, a great activity, one that I would probably do at my wedding to be honest.
